Quidditch Manager

Frequently asked questions

Is Quidditch Manager free?

Yes. It is a free, non-commercial fan project: no price, no advertising and no in-game purchases.

Is it an official Harry Potter game?

No. It is made by fans and is not affiliated with or endorsed by J. K. Rowling, Warner Bros. or Wizarding World Digital. The world, clubs and players come from the books and Quidditch Through the Ages; whatever the books leave out was invented to fill the gaps.

How do I play?

In your browser, with a free account: sign in, choose a username and your country, and you are in. You can also download it for Windows or macOS, with no account.

Is it like Football Manager?

That is the inspiration: Football Manager 2007 brought to Quidditch. You pick the team and the tactics, sign players, train them and run the club's money; matches are simulated and you watch them as commentary or on a 2D pitch.

Can I manage a Hogwarts house?

Yes. Each wizarding school has four houses that play their own Quidditch Cup. You can take charge of a house instead of a club, and the best students later turn professional.

When is the game set?

It starts in the 1993-94 season, with the clubs and players of that time, and carries on season after season.

Where are my saved games?

In your browser, on that computer: our server keeps no saved games. To keep them safe or carry on in another browser, export them to a file from Save / Load.

Which languages does it support?

Ten: English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, Russian, Japanese and Simplified Chinese. You can switch in the game's settings.

Is it open source?

Yes, under the MIT licence on GitHub, where you can also report bugs and suggest canon corrections.
